The 2024 Cross Country season came to an end Friday, November 1st with the State Meet at Old Settler's Park in Round Rock. Following the state meet, District 26AA met to make selections for the All-District Teams and the Burton Panthers were well represented. From the mens' team Devlin Douglas (Jr.) was unanimous 1st team all district and newcomer Zach Purvis (Fr.) was 2nd team all district. Zach Purvis was also selected for Academic All-District along with teammate Cadeyn Manley (Jr.). Hunter Duffy (Jr.) and Jackson Morey (Sr.) were named honorable mention.
From the women's team, Peyton Sigsbee (Sr.) was second in voting for 1st team All-District. She was joined on the 1st team with fellow runner Reagan Roemer (Sr.). Teammates Avery Applewhite (Sr.) and Madeline Dowling (Fr.) were selected as 2nd team All-District. Five of the women were named to the Academic All-District Team: Avery Applewhite, Reagan Roemer, Kelsi Hohlt, Kara Landriault, and Madeline Dowling. Abigail Dowling (Jr.), Kara Landriault (So.), and Kelsie Hohlt (Sr.) were also named as honorable mention All-District.
