This past Saturday, August 20th, the Burton Panthers competed in the 10th annual Mud, Sweat, & Cheers Relay Race. Hosted by Top Tier Training outside of Caldwell, the meet pits relays of 4 runners over a 1.5 mile loop where competitors will be forced to leap trenches, climb round hay bales, and ford a flooded creek.
The Burton Panthers team of Hunter Hancock, Devlin Douglas, Trinity Pope, and Andre Ortiz finished 10th in the Division 1 Small School (1A-4A) race with a time of 47:34
The Lady Panthers team of Peyton Sigsbee, Avery Applewhite, Kara Kaye, and Isabelle Means finished 8th in the Division 1 Small School (1A-4A) race with a time of 55:55
The Panthers travel to Caldwell for the Caldwell Hornets Invitational at Davidson Creek Park, Saturday, August 27th.
