The Burton Panthers continued their season this past weekend at the Lexington Small School showdown. Ultimately, five Burton runners received medals by the day's end.
Finishing first for the Panthers and 9th overall was Hunter Hancock. Peyton Sigsbee finished 3rd overall and walked away with a medal. This week also saw the first race of the season for Burton's Junior High runners. In the boy's division, Zach Purvis medalled in his inaugural race, finishing 13th of 69. In the girl's division, two Lady Panthers were awarded medals: Shaley Chandler (3rd) and Madeline Dowling (13th).
The Panthers race again this Saturday at the Weimar Invitational, Weimar High School. The meet kicks off with Varsity Boys at 9:00 am.
